A Night of Music and Generosity in Carramar
Mr Jaswinder Walia, Board Member of CINI Australia, and Mrs Rajinder Walia organised a spectacular musical evening at the Carramar Community Centre in Perth on Saturday, 4 April 2026, to raise funds for CINI Australia.
A well-known musician and former Physics teacher from Kenya, Mr Upkar Singh, was invited by Raj and Jas to stay with them, which he kindly accepted. He was delighted to perform in support of CINI Australia and to entertain the Indian community.

Mr Upkar Singh presented a selection of semi-classical songs in poetic form (ghazals), along with nostalgic melodies from past decades, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.

The evening was attended by 115 guests, who generously contributed donations. A total of $5,050 was raised. CINI Australia shares its deep gratitude for the wonderful kindness of the community.
Community fundraising is the foundation of so much good work, and we are very grateful to Mr and Mrs Walia for their support for CINI Australia.

There was no entry fee for the event, and pizzas and other refreshments were served free of charge. Jas and Raj extend their sincere thanks to Mr Upkar Singh and his team of musicians, as well as to all the volunteers who helped make the evening a great success.
