Our programmes create a platform for children to ignite change in their own lives. Where even street children from the bylanes of Kolkata are heard on the world stage in front of the United Nations. CINI gives them a voice to share their aspirations, concerns, and rights with confidence. Their voices are heard by parents, teachers, communities, and local government authorities, inspiring collective action.
“Ayushy, now 18 and studying engineering, started with Ujjan in its first years, when she faced significant mental health difficulties. Through CINI’s counselling support and the backing of her grandmother she trained as a peer leader and now returns as a mentor. She is a leader in her community, earning her own income, tutoring little children and driving the plans for income generation training for adolescents. These children have taken their future into their own hands.”

What Your Donation Can Do
Indian Initiative Child-Centered HIV/AIDS Approach (IICCHAA)
Each year, around 40 new HIV/AIDS-affected families join our IICCHAA program. Many are headed by grandparents caring for children orphaned by HIV, and are facing severe financial hardship. IICCHAA helps ease their burden.
Fundraising Goal: $500 per family per year.
Child Friendly Communities (CFC)
This groundbreaking program continues to make inroads into rural villages and city slums, improving the health, education, and safety of thousands of women and children. Adolescents are increasingly stepping up as agents of change.
Fundraising Goal: $7,500 per month to reach over 140 villages.
Adolescents (Ujjan)
Our dream is to restart the outstanding Ujjan program to support more than 300 young people (aged 10–18) through a safe, healthy, and empowered transition into adulthood.
Fundraising Goal: $250 per child per year.
CINI Staff
Our passionate Community Field Officers and Outreach Workers are central to the success of all our programs. They are on the ground every day, trusted and respected by the communities they serve.
Fundraising Goal: $3,500 per worker per year
Our programs require $70,000 – $80,000 each in fundraising costs every year to continue. Whilst this amount may seem a lot, these costs are put to direct and instant use.
